Military museum now open at Citadel Mall
The non-profit American Military Museum that previously operated in downtown Charleston is now open at its new location inside Citadel Mall.
The museum features thousands of artifacts, weapons, uniforms and memoribilia from America’s military past, some dating back to the American Revolution.
The new location is in the wing that includes the Dillard’s department store and features a gift shop.
Earlier this year, the museum lost its lease at the Aquarium Wharf building on Charleston’s waterfront.
Hours of operation are from 12 noon-6 p.m. There is no charge to visit. For more information call 577-7000 or visit Americanmilitarymuseum.org.
