COLUMBIA — GOP House Speaker Bobby of Charleston was re-elected to his leadership post today.

Harrell, who faced no opposition, was first elected leader of the state House in 2005.

Harrell told reporters that to date, no ethics complaint has been filed against him. He said it was the last time he would address the filing of a complaint.

Harrell is expected to eventually face a complaint in the legislative session that begins in January related to his self-reimbursement practices.

Harrell’s re-election today is part of the House’s biennial reorganization session that follows each election of new House members.
