Log truck driver injured in Colleton County wreck
The driver of a log truck was airlifted to a hospital this afternoon after the rig ran off the side of Jacksonboro Highway near Parkers Ferry Road about 12:30 p.m.
The logs crushed the cab and pinned the driver inside, Colleton County Fire and Rescue Director Barry McRoy said. As of 1:15 p.m., crews removed the man from the cab and put him in a helicopter en route to the Medical University Hospital.
His condition was not immediately known.
