Hampden women's clothing store has expanded with a new store in downtown Charleston.
Hampden now offers an accessories boutique next door to its flagship shop at 314 King St.
The cozy space will carry a selection of shoes, handbags, jewelry and gift items.
“Many of the designers we stock at Hampden began producing their own accessory lines as an extension of their brand and those items quickly became fashion's must-have pieces,” owner Stacy Smallwood said. “Over the last five years, Hampden has evolved from a standalone boutique into a nationally recognized brand, and through this growth, my vision has expanded beyond ready-to-wear. The timing is right to focus on accessories,” Smallwood said.
The addition gives shoppers 4,200 square feet.
FreshBerry Frozen Yogurt and Smallcakes now has a second shop in the Charleston area. The new dessert shop at 766 S. Shelmore Blvd. in Mount Pleasant sits in the Bi-Lo-anchored shopping center near I'On.
The shop features an outdoor patio, self-serve yogurt and toppings station, TVs and special parking for bikes and golf carts. It's owned by Geoff Dulaney. The other shop is at 39 George St. in downtown Charleston.
