CLEMSON — Clemson men’s basketball forward and former Pinewood Prep star Milton Jennings has been suspended by the team following an arrest for possession of marijuana early this morning.

It is the third time Jennings has been suspended by the team in the last 13 months.

Clemson police officers arrived at a campus-area apartment after a complaint that a fire detector had been removed, and discovered “an odor of marijuana” coming from the apartment. Jennings was in the apartment and admitted he had smoked marijuana. Officers found .5 grams of marijuana, charging Jennings with simple possession of the drug.

Jennings will not play against Purdue tonight in the ACC-Big Ten challenge. He leads the team, scoring 10.8 points per game.

Jennings also was suspended last December for a verbal confrontation with coach Brad Brownell during a game and last January for an academic-related violation of team rules.
