Did blow your budget on Black Friday? Are you looking for some way to fill the hours before Saturday’s 7 p.m. showdown between Clemson and South Carolina?

The Citadel has a suggestion.

The Bulldogs scheduled their basketball game against Radford for 2:05 p.m. Saturday to avoid conflict with the big football game. And The Citadel is offering $1 tickets and reduced prices at concessions stands to fans who come out to McAlister Field House.

“It’s a smart move to play in the afternoon,” said Citadel coach Chuck Driesell said, whose team is off to a 3-1 start. “And I feel like we’ve got a good, exciting team this year and we hope to continue to play well. We just need people in the stands to see us play, have a good time and hopefully come back.”

Saturday’s game is the last chance to see The Citadel at home until Jan. 5 against Western Carolina.

A win over Radford (3-3) would mark the Bulldogs’ best start since the 2004-05 team won seven of its first eight games.
