Man hangs himself in Dorchester County jail
A man hanged himself inside the Dorchester County jail in St. George, according to a news release from Dorchester County Coroner Chris Nisbet.
Scott Kuykendall, 34 and from Goose Creek, was found hanging at 10 a.m. today, Nisbet stated in a news release. He was taken to the emergency room at Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro, where he was pronounced dead, the release stated.
Kuykendall had been detained at the Dorchester County Detention Center since March 30 for a parole violation.
Nisbet said a forensic autopsy will be conducted.
