2nd person charged in Sumter repo man killing
SUMTER, S.C. -- A second person is facing charges along with an 81-year-old South Carolina man who police say shot and killed a man trying to repossess a truck.
Sumter County Sheriff’s Office says 44-year-old Denise Michelle Livingston has been charged with two counts of accessory after the fact of a felony.
Deputies say 45-year-old Todd Showell of Lee County and another man arrived at the Sumter home looking for a burgundy GMC pickup truck.
Deputies say 81-year-old Alton Shelley came out of the home with a handgun.
The repo men were driving away from the home in a tow truck when deputies say Shelley fired the fatal shots.
Shelley is charged with murder and aggravated assault.
