PICKENS — Authorities are looking for two inmates who escaped from the Pickens County jail.
Deputies say 25-year-old Ricky Lee Smith and 20-year-old Jonathan Dean Moody picked a lock in a minimum security section of the jail Tuesday night. They say the men then scaled a 12-foot wall and slipped through a chain-link fence to escape.
Investigators are using dogs to track the pair. About 20 officers from city, county and state agencies are helping.
Smith has been charged with several counts of burglary, larceny and a drug offense. Moody faces charges including armed robbery, larceny and drugs.
