Coroner identifies North Charleston man shot to death

The Charleston County Coronerís Office has identified the man fatally shot in North Charleston late Tuesday night.

Sharrell Williams, 30, of North Charleston, died of a gunshot wound, according to Deputy Coroner Kimberly Rhoton.

At around 11 p.m. North Charleston police responded to a call that shots were fired at a home on Cambridge St. Police found Williams inside the house shot to death, according to investigators.

Another victim told police that two black men came into the home, robbed Williams and a gun went off, according to North Charleston Police Dept. spokesman Spencer Pryor.

The incident remains under investigation.
