Bowman vs. Clark. Pick Six, Week 13
The wheels have fallen off, so it’s just about time to call it a season. Phil Bowman, the Post and Courier’s high school football guru, flunked the last two weeks of the season and now WCBD’s Brendan Clark is ready to claim his third straight Pick Six championship in three years.
Clark managed to stay above water with a 3-3 record last week and is 59-13 for the season.
Bowman was only 2-4 last week and is 56-16 for the season.
Here are this week’s picks:
Stratford at Gaffney
Bowman: Knights are impressive road Warriors. Stratford, 17-10.
Clark: two road trips too much. Gaffney wins. 31-21.
Bluffton at Goose Creek
Bowman: Gators survive rough week. Goose Creek, 35-21.
Clark: Goose Creek 42-28.
Strom Thurmond at Hanahan
Bowman: Hawks continue to soar. Hanahan, 25-17
Clark: Hanahan is good no question about it. Hawks win 21-14.
Edisto at Timberland
Bowman: Wolves ready for big showdown. Timberland, 28-7.
Clark: Timberland continues its dominance 35-14
Lee Central at Bishop England
Bowman: Bishops on track for second straight title. Bishop England, 17-14.
Clark: Bishops going back-to-back, 28-13
Cross at Lake View
Bowman: It’s tough to win on the road. Cross, 16-14.
Clark: Trojans march in to Lake View and get the win. 24-20.
Wardlaw vs St. John’s Christian
Bowman: This is for the SCISA 8-Man championship. SJC, 77-75.
Clark: Simply the best. SJC, 56-48.
