SUMMERVILLE — Neither the town or Dorchester County has a system that can alert residents with cellphones to emergencies.
They are the only county and maybe the only larger town in the Charleston area that don’t.
That might be about to change because of a recent shooting in the town’s Robynwyn community and the community’s “major cultural shift” in response to it.
The town is looking into a system. A county leader said the county will take another look at one.
