U.S. Highway 17 shut down due to 3-car wreck in Awendaw
A three-car wreck had southbound traffic on U.S. Highway 17 shut down in Awendaw this morning.
The wreck happened about 10:15 a.m. and minor injuries have been reported, Charleston County sheriff’s Maj. Jim Brady said.
Authorities airlifted one person for treatment as a precaution, Brady said.
Northbound traffic was not affected.
