The National Weather Service depends on spotters in the community to help them with severe weather alerts. People interested in the citizen service can take a class at no charge to learn how.
Charleston County and the weather service jointly are sponsoring a class Thursday at the county’s public services building.
The two-hour class runs from 6 to 8 p.m. at the county Emergency Operations Center, Room 339, 4045 Bridgeview Drive in North Charleston, off Leeds Avenue.
