The results of Tuesday’s elections are now official, and the outcomes are unchanged from the first reports, as election officials in Berkeley, Charelston and Dorchester counties certified their results.
The counties’ election commissions met today to consider challenged and provision ballots and deciding which should be added into their final totals. The final results are posted online at scvotes.org.
The top vote getting official in Charleston County was Sheriff Al Cannon, with 104,513. In Berkeley, it was Treasurer Carolyn Umphlett with 49,731, and in Dorchester, it was Sheriff L.C. Knight with 41,074.
