Dorchester County to help victims of Superstorm Sandy

Dorchester County Emergency Medical Services has joined in the Superstorm Sandy relief effort.

Donations will be accepted of bottled water, non-perishable food, toys, games, batteries, toiletries, feminine hygiene products, baby diapers, wipes and formula, pet food and supplies, new empty gas cans and cleaning supplies.

Donated goods will become part of Operation Southern Hospitality.

Drop-off sites are at three Medic stations: 821 West 5th North St, and The Ponds in Summerville; 109 Dutch Krakeel Road, St. George.

Donation deadline is Wednesday.
