Walterboro woman arrested, charged after deputies say she stabbed her childs father
Colleton County deputies arrested a Walterboro woman accused of stabbing her child’s father Sunday night.
Deputies say Chaka Renee Kinard, 26, of Dorsey Street stabbed Gamaliel Lee Williams in the leg and abdomen during an argument at the man’s Peurifoy Road home in Walterboro about 11:30 p.m.
Paramedics transported Williams to the Colleton Regional Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition, Chief Deputy Ted Stanfield said.
Deputies charged Kinard with attempted murder, Stanfield said. She is being held at the Colleton County jail and has a bond hearing scheduled for 3:30 p.m. today.
The Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division is handling the investigation, Stanfield said.
