Bond hearing scheduled Saturday for woman charged with murder
A bond hearing is scheduled Saturday for a North Charleston woman charged with murder Friday after a man was fatally stabbed in a domestic dispute.
Police say Whitlee Richardine Jones, 23, got into a fight with a man at her home on Warsaw Road.
During the dispute Jones stabbed the man in the chest with a knife, police spokesman Spencer Pryor said.
Jones drove the man to Roper Northwoods where he was pronounced dead shortly before 1 a.m., Pryor said.
Eric Lee, 29, died of a single stab wound, Deputy Coroner Brittney Martin said.
Jones did not have a criminal record prior to the stabbing, according to the State Law Enforcement Division.
Lee has convictions for receiving stolen goods in 2003, driving under suspension and marijuana possession in 2005 and vehicle title forgery in 2006.
