Summerville’s District One Civic Association will hold the “Crime Reduction Public Forum” at 7 p.m. in the Doty Park community building, a news release said.

Representatives from the Civic Association, Mayor’s Office, Town Council, Summerville Police Department and Crime Stoppers will speak at the forum, the release said.

Family members of slain 36-year-old John Hancock will also speak, according to the release. Hancock was gunned down outside his Robynwyn home on Oct. 3.
