Sixteen players from the Lowcountry selected to play in the North-South All-Star Football Game

Sixteen players from the Lowcountry have been selected to play in the 64th annual North-South All-Star Football Game, which will be played Dec. 8 at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach.

Goose Creek, Wando, Stratford, Bluffton and Georgetown led the way with two players each. The No. 1 Gators are represented by defensive tackle Mike Myers and linebacker Jalen Stevens. Wando’s picks include wide receiver Rudder Brown and offensive lineman Chuck Rouse.

Stratford’s selections are defensive lineman Shawn Peace and running back Noah Shuler. Bluffton’s picks are quarterback C.J. Frazier and wide receiver Marquis Webb.

Georgetown’s picks include offensive lineman Dillon Alford and defensive end Anthony Blair.

Other local players who made the team include running back DeAngelo Stephenson, Bishop England; quarterback Anthony Smalls, Hanahan; defensive back Roderick McCray, Timberland; running back Jerod Tucker, Summerville; running back Daitwan Commodore, Fort Dorchester and defensive end Johnny Burch, St. John’s.
