RED OCTOBER EVENT RESCHEDULED
The ninth annual Red October Surf Fishing Invitational tournament has been rescheduled and will be fished Saturday. The entry fee is $35 per angler. Contact Scott Connelly at (843) 345-2629.
EARL ARMANTROUT TROUT TOURNEY RESET
Because of bad weather, the ninth annual Earl Armantrout Trout Tournament has been rescheduled and will be fished Saturday. The tournament benefits American Legion Post 136. The captain’s meeting is from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Art’s Bar and Grill, located at 413 Coleman Blvd., Mount Pleasant. The entry fee is $30 for adult anglers and $20 for youth. LOW COUNTRY TROUT TOURNAMENT
The 15th annual Low Country Trout Tournament is Saturday. The captain’s meeting is from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Haddrell’s Point Tackle West Ashley, located at 47 Windermere Boulevard. The entry fee is $35 per angler. Call (843) 881-3644 or (843) 573-3474.
CREEKSIDE BASSMASTERS
Sid Fowler Jr. caught five bass that weighed 12.75 pounds, including the tournament’s big fish of 4.04 pounds, to win the Creekside Bassmasters’ October tournament fished out of Black’s Camp on the Santee Cooper lakes. Brian Crenshaw was second with four fish that weighed 11.63 pounds and Brian Miller third with three bass that weighed 5.88 pounds.
FALL SURF FISHING
The West Ashley Charleston Angler will hold a free fall surf fishing seminar, led by Colt Harrison, at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Call (843) 571-3899.
CHARLESTON ANGLER BY THE NUMBERS
The Charleston Angler “By the Numbers” Spot-Tail Fishing Tournament will be fished Nov. 5-Dec. 9. The captain’s meeting is at 6 p.m. Nov. 1 at West Ashley Charleston Angler. The entry fee is $10.
