Charleston brothers arrested after drug tip

Two brothers were arrested today after a search warrant turned up drugs at their home, according to Charleston City police.

Following up on a tip from concerned neighbors, the Charleston Police Department Special Investigations Unit, along with members of the Team Four Community Action Team, executed a search warrant Thursday at 1035 Shelley Road, according to police spokesman Charles Francis.

Police confiscated 16.8 grams of cocaine base, 13.9 grams of cocaine and more than $10,000 in cash, Francis said.

Anthony J. Stoney, 25, was charged with trafficking cocaine and trafficking cocaine base. His bail was set at $150,000.

Michael Christopher Stoney, 23, was charged with possession of cocaine base. He was on probation for a narcotic charge. His bail was set at $75,000.

Both men are being held at the Charleston County jail.
