City police investigating fatal shooting
Officials have identified the man who was shot to death in downtown Charleston this morning.
Albert Brown, 37, of Charleston, died on scene near Line and Nassau streets, said Charleston County Deputy Coroner Dottie Lindsay.
Someone called 911 about 6 a.m. to report the crime, police spokesman Charles Francis said. When officers arrived, they found the victim had been shot.
Anyone with information about the shooting should call Charleston police at 577-7434 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
