Wisconsin man dies from injuries in September I-26 wreck
A 60-year-old man who was involved in an accident on Interstate 26 last month has died, authorities said.
Dan Bongers of Little Chute, Wisc., died Thursday from injuries he suffered in the Sept. 22 wreck, said Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury.
Bongers was a passenger in a van that overturned on the I-26 exit ramp at mile marker 199, Salisbury said.
He was wearing a seatbelt and had to be extricated from the van, Salisbury said.
The accident was investigated by the S.C. Highway Patrol.
