West Ashley youth sports winter registration now open

Registration for the 2012-13 West Ashley Youth Sports winter season is open through Oct. 25. Winter sports include basketball (ages 4-17), wrestling (ages 5-15), Friday Night Indoor Soccer Clinic (ages U8, U9, U12, U15) and cheerleading (ages 6-13).

The cost is $30 for St. Andrew’s Public Service District and city of Charleston residents; $55 for nonresidents. First-time participants need to provide a birth certificate and proof of medical insurance and residency at time of registration.

Registration locations include St. Andrew’s Parks and Playground at 1095 Playground Road, Mary Utsey Playground at 1350 Orange Grove Road, Bees Landing Recreation Complex at 1580 Ashley Gardens Blvd. and St. Andrew’s Family Fitness Plus at 1642 Sam Rittenberg Blvd. Online registration for previously registered participants is available for some sports.
