Goose Creek Recreation Programs
These programs are planned at the Goose Creek Community Center, 519-A N. Goose Creek Blvd., or Casey Community Center, 101 Old Moncks Corner Road. Classes require registration. Call the Casey Center at 572-1321 or Community Center at 569-4242 or visit at www.goosecreekrecreation.com.
BASKETBALL REGISTRATION: Register Oct. 22-Nov. 8 at either center. Leagues for ages 5-17. All are co-ed. League fee is $35. Participant’s birth certificate and two proofs of residency required.
HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL, OUTDOOR MOVIE: Oct. 27 beginning at 5 p.m. by Goose Creek Community Center. Free event with carnival games, candy, jump castle and face painting. Showing of “Madagascar 3” on the big outdoor screen begins at 7 p.m. Bring chairs or blankets.
ONE-STROKE PAINTING: Ages 12-adult. Classes do not require painting experience. 6:30-8:30 p.m. Mondays at Casey Center. Oct. 15 class features a design of pumpkins on storage jars. Fee per class is $15, and $17 for nonresidents plus supplies
FUN WITH CERAMICS: For ages 14 to adult, this class teaches the basics of painting ceramics and applying decals. Students will take home at least two completed pieces. 10 a.m.-noon Oct. 13. Class fee is $25/$27 nonresident.
