Mason Prep chooses news crew
On Tuesdays and Thurs-days, Mason Prep has a live news program that is broadcast into each classroom through smartboard technology and the public address system.
Members of the WKNI-TV news crew write, edit and film the announcements. Those students are chosen based on their writing skills, command of the English language and their stage presence.
They produce a sports spot, weather and community service announcements.
Other students are incorporated in the news with special events and reporting.
Twelve students will manage WKNI-TV for the 2012-13 school year. They are Amanda Cross, Grace Gehlken, Celia Campbell, Scott Logan, Jack McFee, Sophia Bernstein, Hampden Thomas, Madison Duffy, Hampton Gehlken, Ann Clare Purcell, Madison Baxley and Dent Guarino.
