A Charleston County school bus caught on fire this afternoon on Edisto Island
About 2:45 p.m. deputies got a call that the St. Paul’s Fire Department was handling a school bus fire at 2164 Highway 174 near Blue House Road, Sheriff’s Maj. Jim Brady said.
A few students coming home from Baptist Hill High School were on the bus and safely got off, school district spokesman Jason Sakran said. Their parents were called to take them home, he said
Deputies blocked off that section of Highway 174 while the fire was handled.
