Goose Creek, Timberland both have two players selected to play in Shrine Bowl

Goose Creek and Timberland both had two players selected to play in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas, which will be contested Dec. 15 at Gibbs Stadium in Spartanburg.

Goose Creek’s selections are athlete Tramel Terry and defensive lineman Gerald Turner. Timberland’s picks include defensive back Austin McKinney and defensive lineman Brian Moore. One other player from the tri-county made the team: Ashley Ridge running back Romelo Doctor.

Hilton Head quarterback Michael Julian and Lake Marion wide receiver Michael Williams also are on the Sandlapper squad, which will battle the North Carolina team in the 76th annual event.
