Haley to host conference on higher education in SC
COLUMBIA, S.C. — Gov. Nikki Haley is joining lawmakers, business leaders and the presidents of the University of South Carolina and Francis Marion University to discuss higher education in South Carolina.
The Governor’s Public Higher Education Conference takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday in Columbia.
During the morning, college presidents will join lawmakers to discuss the best way to pay for higher education.
In the afternoon, business leaders will join legislators and others to talk about how colleges and technical schools can train the kind of workers that South Carolina companies will need.
