Charleston police arrest two more suspects in West Ashley burglary
Charleston police arrested two more men accused of burglarizing an apartment on Ashley River Road about 1 a.m. Sept. 20.
Jacob Warren Johnson Jr., 20, of Ashley Hall Plantation Road, and Christopher Odell Gibbs, 23, of Orange Grove Road are both charged with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of kidnapping and first-degree burglary, police spokesman Charles Francis said.
Police say Johnson, Gibbs and a third man, Shoan Monzell Green, 23, of Meadowlawn Drive were armed with a pistol when they stole electronics and money from the apartment.
Green was arrested Sept. 27 on obstruction of justice charges in connection with the incident. He was served additional warrants at the Charleston County jail for the same charges Johnson and Gibbs now face, Francis said.
Green’s bail was set at $500,000. He is still being held at the jail.
Johnson and Gibbs are also being held at the jail, and are awaiting a bond hearing.
