Rite Aid offering $2,500 reward to catch robbery suspect
Rite Aid is offering a $2,500 reward to anybody who gives information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the man who held up the pharmacy Monday night, according to Charleston police.
A man walked into Rite Aid at 1934 Ashley River Road about 9:10 p.m. Monday, brandished a handgun and demanded prescription drugs, police said.
The gunman put about 2,500 pills in a white trash bag and ran from the store. He was described as being in his 20s and wearing a red-and-gray hoodie and black pants with a white stripe.
Charleston police released a video clip of the robbery suspect Tuesday and announced the reward offer today.
Anyone with information about the robbery should call police at 577-7434.
