The 64th annual Yorktown (CV-10) Association Reunion on Thursday through Saturday at Patriots Point will include a special ceremony at 10 a.m. Friday to dedicate a newly refurbished helicopter as well as a meet-and-greet session with more than 150 Yorktown veterans 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

On the flight deck, one side of the H-3 Sea King helicopter will be dedicated to Charles K. Moran, Thomas D. Vincent and James I. Pratt, who died during a mission while flying from the Yorktown. The other side of the aircraft will bear the names of Dr. Art Schmitt and James B. Dorsey, who distinguished themselves while operating H-3s and other helicopter types both during combat operations and while involved with the Apollo space program, including the recovery of Apollo 8.

During the meet-and-greet on Saturday in the hangar bay, including about 10 members who served during World War II, posters will be available for members of the public as a keepsake of the reunion.

Both events are open to the public. Regular admission and parking rates will apply.
