Mount Pleasant police seeking suspect in multiple thefts

Police are looking for a woman suspected in three thefts in Mount Pleasant, including one in which she is accused of biting a worker who confronted her.

Mount Pleasant police are looking for Ruth L. Love, 26, of Royle Road in Summerville. According to police:

July 18 — Love and an accomplice entered a Mount Pleasant Lowe’s and tried to steal electric thermometers. An employee who witnessed the theft confronted them. Love bit the employee on both arms and ran from the scene.

April 7 — Love and an accomplice entered Michaels at 1501 Highway 17, filled a shopping cart full of fake plants and planters and then exited the store through the entrance door and left the area.

Feb. 10 — A victim reported her wallet was stolen while at Wild Wings Café at 644 Coleman Blvd. Love was identified positively on surveillance video using the victim’s credit cards a short time after the wallet was stolen.
