Accenture has acquired avVenta Worldwide, a digital marketing company that was founded in Mount Pleasant and still maintains a small local office.

The consulting giant announced the deal today without disclosing the terms.

It said in statement that the deal “strengthens the broad range of marketing services Accenture provides” to marketing executives.

Founded in 2005 by Peter “Jay” Noce, avVenta creates online advertisements for several top agencies and brands, including Google, McDonalds and Toyota. After receiving a $20 million cash infusion from an investment group in 2009, the company moved its headquarters to New York City. About 500 of its roughly 600 employees work at a digital production center in San Jose, Costa Rica.
