Berkeley deputies announce methamphetamine arrests

Six people were arrested in two separate drug busts in Berkeley County this week, according to a news release issued Friday by the Sheriff’s Office.

On Thursday, deputies found “numerous items conducive to the manufacturing of methamphetamine” at a residence at 1009-B Royle Road in Ladson, the release said.

Arrested were Megan Davies, 20; Marlene LeClair, 50; Marlon Shamblin, 32; and Jacques Waite, 24; sheriff’s Capt. Mike Williams said in the release.

All four were charged with attempt to manufacture methamphetamine.

On Wednesday, sheriff’s deputies located a clandestine meth lab at 13 Raritan Road in Goose Creek, the release said.

Christopher Keen, 44; and Andrea Marcum, 32; both of Raritan Road, were each charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.

All six were being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center.
