Citadel associate AD suspended after pleading guilty to soliciting a prostitute
An associate athletic director at The Citadel has been suspended following his arrest for soliciting prostitution.
Robert Paul Plunkett, the school’s senior associate athletic director for administration, was arrested Sept. 5 in North Charleston. He pled guilty to a misdemeanor and has been suspended without pay pending a review through the school’s employee discipline policy, a Citadel spokesman said.
Plunkett, 61, graduated from The Citadel in 1973 and was a special assistant to school president Lt. Gen. John Rosa before moving to the athletic department four years ago.
