Man sought in September Ravenel robbery
Charleston County Sheriff’s Detectives are asking for help in finding Derrick Santel Brown, also known as “Lil Scrappy.”
Brown, 21, is wanted on two counts of attempted armed robbery and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime as the result of a Sept. 17 incident on Chinnis Side Road and Brown Way Road in Ravenel.
Two people reported that a black male approached a vehicle stopped at a stop sign, produced a gun and demanded money.
When the driver said he didn’t have any money, the man struck him in the head with the revolver, took the keys to the vehicle and fled.
Brown is described as 5-feet-8 and 150 pounds. He is believed to live on Chinnis Side Road, Ravenel, and previously lived at 6054 Savannah Highway, Ravenel, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
