Coroner: SC man shot woman before himself
COLUMBIA, S.C. — Authorities say a man found in a Columbia home probably shot a woman before turning the gun on himself.
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said Tuesday that 60-year-old William Broll shot 54-year-old Kathleen Kee in the head at a Columbia home. Watts says Broll then shot himself in the head.
Deputies said a man coming to visit the couple Monday afternoon found their front door open and the bodies inside. Authorities found a gun inside the home and said there were no signs of a struggle.
Deputies are still investigating, but Watts said it appears to be a murder-suicide.
