State troopers have identified the man who was run over by his car on Sunday afternoon.

Paul Pattison, 42, of Belmont Court in Summerville, was driving along Orangeburg Road in Dorchester in a 1996 Jeep, said Lance Cpl. Judd Jones, with the S.C. Highway Patrol.

His car broke down and he went under the car to repair the vehicle when it rolled over his body, Jones said.

Three juveniles were passengers in the car, he said. Pattison was taken to Medical University Hospital, according to Jones. He’s in critical condition, according to hospital officials.
