Fla. computer programmer accused of luring Lowcountry girl, others online
A computer programmer from Florida is suspected of soliciting dozens of underage girls online, including one in the Lowcountry, according to the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.
Georgetown County investigators have charged Justin Slavinski, 32, of Apopka, Fla., with one count of criminal solicitation of a minor and three counts of dissemination of obscene material to a minor, according to public information officer Carrie Cuthbertson.
He was arrested in Florida and is awaiting extradition to South Carolina on Friday, she said.
A search of his home revealed he had been in contact with as many as 40 girls and had sent 27,000 instant messages throughout Florida and other states, Cuthbertson said.
Georgetown County investigators began looking at Slavinski after spotting him online making contact with minors for sexual activity, Cuthbertson said. Information was passed to agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, who also found numerous images of child pornography in his home during a search, she said.
