Two horses attacked this week
A horse was shot another wounded in what appear to be separate incidents this week.
A horse was shot in the head with what appeared to be a small-caliber firearm at 1360 Brownswood Road on Johns Island Wednesday, Charleston County Sheriff’s Maj. Jim Brady said.
The second horse was wounded in the left side of the neck today at 990 Dills Bluff Road on James Island. How the horse was wounded has not been determined.
The incidents don’t appear to be related, Brady said.
Charleston County Animal Control is investigating.
