The 32-lane Dorchester Lanes bowling alley that’s served area bowlers for about 30 years near Summerville has closed.

The once-popular bowling center at 10015 Dorchester Road beside Big Lots apparently went dark Saturday without much fanfare.

The bowling alley at the corner of Dorchester and Ladson roads, across from Oakbrook Shopping Center, is owned by Tommy Elliget, who is also the operator.

Elliget could not be reached for comment today.
