Firefighter hospitalized after wreck in Hollywood
A St. Pauls fire truck crashed into someone’s front yard today, sending its driver to the hospital.
The wreck happened in Hollywood on the 6500 block of S.C. Highway 152, St. Pauls Fire Department Chief Doc Matthews said.
The driver, and only firefighter on the truck, received cuts to his hands and a contusion to his head, but Matthews said the injuries don’t appear to be life threatening.
The driver was responding to an alarm in the area when the wreck happened, Matthews said.
Matthews could not provide any further details about the wreck.
