Laffey Association to hold memorial service Tuesday
The USS Laffey Association will hold a memorial service at 2 p.m. Tuesday onboard the former warship docked at Patriots Point.
The memorial is part of the group’s annual reunion and honors crew members killed in action and who have died since the ship was decommissioned in 1975. It arrived at Patriots Point in 1981.
Association President Sonny Walker will give remarks. A wreath-laying ceremony will follow. Regular admission and parking rates apply.
