CONWAY, S.C. — A Conway man has been found dead in a pond and Horry County police say there is no sign of foul play.

Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler said Thursday the victim was 44-year-old Lester Causey Jr.

Fowler said there were no obvious signs of trauma. An autopsy was planned Friday to determine the cause of death.

Police Sgt. Robert Kegler says the death has been ruled as suspicious, pending autopsy results. There is no sign of foul play.

Officers were called to the pond about 1 p.m. Thursday and Causey’s body was found about 90 minutes later.
