ISLE OF PALMS — Air India plans to pick up the first locally made 787 sometime next week, Boeing South Carolina’s top executive said today.

Jack Jones, general manager and vice president, said the exact timing of the delivery will be determined by the airline.

Jones was speaking at the S.C. International Trade Conference, which wraps up today at Wild Dunes Resort.

Air India has already picked up two 787 Dreamliners from Boeing’s North Charleston campus, including one on Tuesday, but those planes were made in Everett, Wash.
