Firefighters have cleared from St. Philip Street, where an earlier gas leak had blocked traffic.

A College of Charleston dorm at 20 Warren St., Charleston Water Works and St. Philip from Calhoun to Radcliffe streets had been closed as a precaution, Charleston Fire Department spokesman Mark Ruppel said.

All units had cleared by 4 p.m., Ruppel said.
