Man found shot to death in Columbia road
COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Authorities say a 48-year-old man was found shot to death in a Columbia roadway.
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts ways the man was pronounced dead at a hospital in downtown Columbia just after 4 a.m. Sunday. Watts says an autopsy shows the man was shot multiple times in the upper body.
Watts says the man’s name hasn’t been released because authorities haven’t been able to notify his family. Police Chief Randy Scott says authorities are still investigating the shooting.
