Two road closures set for next week in Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT — U.S. Highway 17 will close for three nights next week at the interchange with Hungryneck Boulevard and Interstate 526 for improvement work.

The road closure starts at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, 10:30 p.m. Friday and 10:30 p.m. Sept. 22. It will reopen to traffic at 5 a.m. Friday, 7:30 a.m. Sept. 22 and 9 a.m. Sept. 23.

Several detour routes around the interchange will be posted.

And Monday through Wednesday nights, westbound traffic on Hungryneck Boulevard, from Venning Road to U.S. 17, will close to install overhead signs.

Beginning at 9 p.m. each night, the closure will continue until 6 a.m. the next morning.

Detour signs will be posted.
